The plain-English version of how we ship, what happens if something isn't right, and how we look after your information.
This policy explains what we collect when you shop with us, why we collect it, and how we look after it. We have kept it short and specific on purpose.
Who we are

What we collect
- Order information — your name, email, phone number, billing and shipping address, and what you bought.
- Payment information — handled entirely by Shopify and the payment provider you choose at checkout. We never see or store your full card number.
- Account information — the email and password you set, your saved addresses, and your order history.
- Device and browsing information — pages viewed, referring site, browser and device type, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
- Marketing preferences — whether you have asked to hear from us, and what you have opened or clicked.
Why we collect it
To take payment, ship your order and keep you updated on it, answer your questions, run your account, prevent fraud, meet our tax and record-keeping obligations, and — only where you have asked us to — send restock alerts and offers.
Who we share it with
Only the services that make the shop work: Shopify, which hosts our store and checkout; our payment processors; the carriers who deliver your order; our email marketing provider; and analytics tools that tell us which pages are useful. We do not sell your personal information.
Some of these providers store data outside Canada, which means your information may be subject to the laws of the countries they operate in.
Cookies
Cookies keep your cart, keep you signed in, and show us which pages people actually read. You can block them in your browser settings, but parts of the shop will stop working properly if you do.
Marketing emails
You can unsubscribe from marketing email at any time using the link at the bottom of it. We will still send transactional messages about orders you have placed.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for as long as Canadian tax and business law requires. Account details are kept until you ask us to close your account.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted where we are not required by law to keep it. Email info@cartellash.ca and we will respond within 30 days.
Security
Our store runs over an encrypted connection and payments are processed by PCI-compliant providers. No system is perfect, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information and we will tell you promptly if something goes wrong.
Children
Our products are intended for trained professionals and this site is not directed at anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version is posted here with a new date.
This Privacy Policy is effective as of August 2026. If anything here is unclear, get in touch, we're always happy to walk you through it.
